Credits and what consumes them
Understand what a credit is, what consumes one and what is free.
Credits meter the automated reading and matching that Kabaido does for you. One credit is one ordinary resolved request line. They are charged when a line is first resolved.
Lines vary in how much work they take, so the weight varies with the kind of line:
| Kind of work | Credits |
|---|---|
| Catalogue line | 1 |
| Structured-only line | 1 |
| Service line | 2 |
| Configured line | 2 |
| Configured line with geometry | 3 |
| Each vision page beyond the first | +1 |
| Machinist AI action | 2 |
| Email agent drafted reply | +1 on top of the line charges |
| Work action through an MCP connector | 2 |
An AI-configured design result is a configured line, so it weighs 2, or 3 when geometry analysis ran. The email agent's reading and classification of inbound mail is free; only a drafted reply adds its 1 credit to the standard per-line charges of the pipeline run behind it.
What is free
Manual use of the platform costs nothing. Browsing the catalogue, writing a quote by hand and configuring a design yourself never spend a credit. Credits meter only the automated reading and matching.
Your monthly grant
Each plan includes a number of credits granted at the start of every billing period. The grant does not roll over, so an unused balance does not carry into the next month.
On the free plan, reaching the credit limit pauses automated responses. The rest of the platform stays fully usable by hand.
